Found in a fortune cookie

I found the following in a fortune cookie. To me it says everything about education - about the "filling up model" and about the "drawing forth model."

Education is what survives

when what has been learnt

has been forgotten.

oh, such pain!

What about humanity,

breaking endless cycles of pain?

Will it ever end ?

Can I be first?

Can I be last?
